Lesson Information
About the lessons:
Students will have the opportunity to learn how to play guitar or bass in a recording studio with access to hundreds of backing tracks, video clips along with excellent resources such as tabs, chord and scale diagrams. In the lessons we can record the students progress in Logic Pro X and utilise all the plug-ins available in the mac based system. Rhythm exercises and songs can be played along with drums which can then kept by the student to help improve aspects of musicianship such as rhythm playing and timing. All backing tracks and video clips can be emailed direct to the student at no extra charge. These resources will enable students to progress at a much faster rate. Any areas of difficulty can be worked on in the lesson and the student can then have a video clip recorded at any tempo which is then emailed directly to them so it is available for them to practice with.
Lessons are very structured incorporating songs and technical studies to maximise learning. Students all recieve a worksheet in the lesson outlining their current work and a practice log so we can manage practice time effectively. Acheivable goals are set and there is an emphasis on practical playing skills and most importantly fun. Students will be encouraged to develop at their own pace in a friendly relaxed environment.
Michael Hartnett has been teaching guitar professionally since 1996 and has worked in numerous schools as a guitar teacher along with originally setting up the Berkshire Guitar School in 2004 at South Hill Park Arts Centre in Bracknell Berkshire.
